He studied art in Ottawa and in Paris under the Charles Geoffrey de Chaume (early 1920's).  He also attended the Banff School of Fine Arts (1947), where he met A.Y.Jackson.  He taught adult art classes on Ottawa.  He served in the R.C.A.F. in World War II. He also traveled to Alaska, the Yukon, Maine, the Rockies , and the Gatineau Hills in Quebec.

He exhibited his work at the Wallack Gallery in Ottawa.  And it is in the collection of the Ottawa City Archives.
