Biography
Abraham Mordkhine

Abraham Mordkhine grew up in Russia and moved to Paris in 1927, in order to become active as a painter.  He focused on still life painting, but occasionally also executed landscape and town views.

In the course of the National Socialism he was deported to Poland, where he finally died in 1943.  Today, Abraham Mordkhine is only known to a small circle of art lovers, since the preservation of his work has been deeply affected through his dramatic biography.  During the last years, however, his works have been repeatedly exhibited in Paris, Turin and Jerusalem.
