Born Doreen Sheld; B.A. in Art from California State University in Fullerton, Doreen Follett earned many recognitions in Indiana and Illinois art competitions.  Some of her achievements include exhibiting at the Swope Art Gallery, working with area artists such as D. Omer Seamon and C. Robert Follett. 

Known for landscape, animals, and people, her early works were watercolor and her later painting was with acrylic on canvas.  Her 1998 painting: Whiter-Morn was on the cover of the Irish Wolfhound Quarterly Publication.  Signatures may be Sheld or Gardner, while the majority are Follett.

One of Doreen's artworks was acquired by the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology as the outstanding artwork at the 2000 Wabash Valley Art Exhibit.
