Karl Walter Leopold von Kalckreuth


Karl Walter Leopold von Kalckreuth, an important German naturalist painter, was the son of the head of the Weimar academy, Count Stanislaus von Kalckreuth.  Karl studied at the Weimar and Munich academies, became professor at the Karlsruhe academy and head of the Stuttgart academy.  Later he retired to Eddelsen manor near Hamburg.
