Albert Lynch was born in Peru. He painted portraits, beauties, gardens, ships and nudes and genre scenes. Albert Lynch went to Paris to attend classes given by Jules Noel, Henri Lehmann and Gabriel Gerrier at the Ecole des Beaus-Arts. Lynch's genre scenes are handled with a fin-de-siecle elegance.
He took part in the Paris Salon from 1880, receiving a bronze medal in 1890, a first class medal in 1892 and a gold medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle. He was made Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur in 1901.
