Biography from Peter Wilson

Joseph Hughes Clayton was a prominent member of the Royal Cambrian Academy in the late 19th century.  He worked mainly on the North Wales coast and Anglesey producing sentimental studies of the fishing community particularly at Cemaes Bay where he owned a cottage.
