Giuseppe Pellizza Volpedo, after a stay in Paris, in 1890 he returned to Volpedo and there, in his hometown, he began his artistic career, but with the typical restlessness of those who have not yet found their own language and their own artistic technique. In 1891 he exhibited his works at the Milan Triennale, now attracting public attention. In 1895 the First Biennial of Venice with 'The Procession' and 'The portrait of Mrs. Sofia Abbiati'. In 1901 he ends his masterpiece, the painting on which he had worked for several years with much study and a great effort, 'With this painting, the following year, the artist participated in the Quadrennial of Turin, but the work did not gain recognition hoped, something that led him to d  ...  Displaying 750 of 1065 characters.
