M. Scott Galles was born in Houston, Texas on February 25, 1980.  He has been a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona for 26 years.

His subjects revolve around time, games, identity, figures and portraits and other creations of his artistic mind.  His styles are characteristic of realism, chiaroscuro, conceptual, linear & atmospheric perspective.

Although painting and creating since a child, his formal education and training started at Scottsdale Community College and then he attained a Bachelors of Fine Arts at Arizona State University working with art teachers Brian Quinn, Janice Pittsley, Jerry Schutte.  His biggest influences are the styles of M.C. Escher, Carravaggio, Brunelleschi & Vincent Van Gogh, particularly delving into realism and surrealism, conceptual, abstraction, also impressionism and expressionism.

His mediums can be, but are not limited to, glass etching, charcoal, pastel, airbrush, oils, acrylics & sculpture.
