Ten years later, he went to England to continue his further education.

'The Root', which was awarded silver medal at 'The 2nd National Comic Strip Exhibition', 1983;
'I Knocked the Door Gently', which won the prize of excellence at the Shanghai Culture Arts and has been collected by an overseas art lover;
'Picasso and Peace Pigeon', which won a prestigious prize at 'The 1st Shanghai Art Exhibition of Young Painters';
'One Son', which won second prize at The 3rd National Comic Strip Exhibition';
'One No Benefit Performance' (winner of the prize of excellence at 'the 1st China Oil Painting Exhibition');
'One of the Painting Studios', which won the copper medal at 'the 6th National Art Exhibition';
'Piano Series', which won the gold medal at the 'Shanghai Art Exhibition'
'The Fable', which was awarded the silver medal at 'The 10th National Art Exhibition'.
In 1994, Yu set up the 'New on the Shelf' Artist Colony and in December 2004, he held his solo exhibition at Suo Ka Art Center. His works have been collected by many public museums and by private collectors.
