Emma Gaggiotti-Richards

Born in Rome in 1825, Emma Gaggiotti Richards spent her childhood in Ancona, where Nicola Consorti trained her.  In Ancona, she met her future husband, an Englishman, with which she settled in London until 1854. 

In 1855, Gaggiotti Richards returned to Italy and worked there in addition to Ancona and Rome in Florence and Velletri.  In addition to her portraits the religious and mythological paintings of Gaggiotti Richards, also were very popular.  Gaggiotti Richards died in 1912.
