Born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Almquist was a painter and craftswoman.   She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of her father, Gustav Malm Almquist.

She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg.
