In 1946, he attended the University of Southern California and obtained two degrees: art history and art education. from 1949 to 1955, he worked for the air force setting up hobby/art shops throughout Japan at all bases, which had a profound influence on him as an artist.
From 1956 to 1966, Waddelow operated his ceramics workshop in Venice, California. He moved to Laguna Beach in 1967. He was accepted into the Festival of Arts /Pageant of the Masters and exhibited for 36 years.
He now lives in Tucson, Arizona.
