Lee Richards was born June 3, 1932 in Colby Kansas. He studied at Kansas State
Teachers College in Emporia with Mary Kretsinger earning at BS in education in 1954.
Studied at New Mexico State earning a MA in sculpture in 1967 and at the Univ. of
Kansas with Carlyle Smith earning an EdD in 1975. Taught at Lamar State College from
1967-70, at Haskell Indian Junior College from 1971-72, and at New Mexico State Univ.
starting in 1972.
Member: American Crafts Council; New Mexico Designer/Craftsman; New Mexico Art Educators. Exhibitions: 17th Annual International Designer/Craftsmen, 1967; Neches River Festival Show, 1968; Museum of New Mexico, 1974; and more.
