Xanthos Hadjisoteriou

Biography from Psatharis Auctions

Xanthos Hadjisoteriou was born in Famagusta in 1920 and died in Limassol in 2003.  He studied commerce at the American University of Beirut and later painting and decoration in London: originally the Central School of Arts & Crafts and then to Bryan Show School of Art.

His compositions gave particular emphasis to women of Cyprus, pointing to the mannerism of curvatures, creating works with a harmonious balance.
Also dealt a lot with the interior architecture and decoration, introducing his own style, perfectly knotted and painting performance.
