Scott had served as the town's first mayor.  She grew up there an attended the Katharine Branson School.

Opting for an art career, she studied with Rudolph Schaeffer, California School of Fine Arts, and privately with Jade Fon, Harold Gretzner, Nat Levy, and Herman Struck.  Active in the local art scene, she exhibited and taught both in Marin County and San Francisco.  Mrs. Watersworth died on Jan. 7, 1980.
