Henry Ketting Olivier was born in Indonesia in 1924. Olivier was a prisoner of the Japanese during WWII. After the war he moved to southern California and enrolled at Otis Art Institute and earned his M.A. at California State University in Long Beach. He taught for many years in the Los Angeles County public schools. His works include desert landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. He exhibited in juried shows in the Los Angeles area and was a past president of the California Art Club.
