Vadim Zanginian

Biography from California Museum Of Fine Art

In his art, Vadim Zanginian tries to make his brush depend on his first impression, and tell a long story in few words, just like a limited palette can give you hundreds of colors.

Vadim Zanginian was born in Armenia in 1965. He is a graduate from Art and Theatre Institute 1984 - 1989, and trained in Russian academical traditions. His favorite painters are Michelangelo, Velasquez, Repin, Sargent, Khanjian, Serov, Rockwell, Fechin, Stepanian and Schmid.

In 1991 he won first prize for the best advertisement design at the Professional Competition, ATV.  In 1992 he moved to Los Angeles to complete his masters degree in fine arts and had his show in International Art & Theatre Society.  In 1994 - 2003 he worked as a graphic designer and did many contemporary graphics logos and Posters for Rock singers including Cher, Paul McCartney and The Moody Blues.  He also provided his graphic skills to leading companies like Guess, Harley Davidson and Hard Rock CafĂ©.

Over the years he worked out a fast learning program for academical drawing and painting.  Now he is working as an art instructor in The Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA.)
