Irma Lezhava was born in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, in 1972. She started painting at an early age. While attending high School, her gift in painting was discovered and she was transferred to the Tbilisi Art School # 6 for talented children, which she attended for eight years and graduated in 1988.
The Years at the Art School were very active for Irma Lezhava, and she had her first personal exhibition when she was 15 years old. From 1987 till 1989 she took private classes from acclaimed Georgian painter Gibson Khundadze. In 1989 she entered Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts, department of Monumental Painting, from which she graduated with honors in 1994.
Since than she has had many personal as well as group exhibitions. She also took part in designing some very innovative publications and multimedia projects. Her works can be found in many private collections in Georgia, Russia, Germany, Austria, USA and Canada.
