Note from Pat Clopper, Researcher of this artist:

Ferguson died in 1985 in Reading, Pennsylvania. One famous directory lists his death as 1964, but this is wrong. HIs paintings are in the collections of the Philadelphia Art Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy of Art, and the Reading, Pennsylvania Museum. Recently I found two of his Christ paintings in a 1994 Guide to Paintings at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

He participated in many exhibitions but lost his sight in the his early 50s, and therefore did not receive the celebrity he might have. According to his cousin, he was more famous for his watercolors than for his oils.
