art there at the Mexico Academy of Fine Arts. He is known for his
cityscapes, bull fight scenes, landscapes, and seascapes. He painted in
both oils and watercolors.
Ruiz Vela came to the United States
in the early 20th Century and settled in the Los Angeles, California
area. He painted murals locally, and throughout the United States and
Mexico. Ruiz Vela exhibited widely throughout California and Mexico.
His works are in collections worldwide.
