The materials in his sculptures and installations force us to question our history, culture and politics.
Matthew Day Jackson earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Washington, Seattle and a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Rutgers University.
Jackson was the artist in residence at the Chinati Foundation in June of 2004.
