Biography  
John Scott


John White Allen Scott, born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, spent his entire career in the Boston area. He apprenticed to lithographer, William Pendleton and later worked with Fitz Henry Lane to produce lithographs.  He was a member of the Boston Art Club and exhibited there and at the Boston Athenaeum.

He served his apprenticeship under the Boston lithographer, William S. Pendleton at the same time as Nathaniel Currier and spent his entire career in and around Boston.  In the mid-1840's he was in partnership with Fitz Henry Lane.
