Henry Wellington Wack was active/lived in New York, California, Maryland.  Henry Wack is known for landscape and genre painting, outdoor sport illustration, writing.

According to Mantle Fielding's Dictionary of American Painters, Mr. Wack was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a pupil of Leon Dabo, Nicholas R. Brewer, H. Salem Hubbell, and Frank Spenlove.

He was a member of New York League of Painters. (I've found other information in the records of the Brooklyn Society of Artists held at the American Art Archives of the Smithsonian).

Wack became was vice-president of the Brooklyn Society of Artists while Dabo
was it's president. Once Dabo left the Brooklyn Society of Artists, Mr Wack became the president  for a number of years, starting in 1928.

Apparently Mr. Wack became involved with this organization through his teacher and friend Leon Dabo. The two  art  ...  Displaying 750 of 1864 characters.
