Born in Baltimore, MD on Dec. 21, 1867. Wack lived in NYC during the 1920s and Lakeville, CT in the 1930s. By the early 1940s he had settled in Santa Barbara, CA where he remained until his demise on Dec. 17, 1954. As well as an artist, he was also a writer, lecturer, and founder and first editor of Field & Stream magazine. He was the father-in-law of artist Ethel Wack.
