The following is from Brian Hunter:

According to Mantle Fielding's "Dictionary of American Painters", Mr. Wack was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1873. He was a pupil of Leon Dabo, Nicholas R. Brewer, H. Salem Hubbell, and Frank Spenlove.

He was a member of New York League of Painters. (I've found other information in the records of the Brooklyn Society of Artists held at the American Art Archives
of the Smithsonian).

Wack became was vice-president of the Brooklyn Society of Artists while Dabo
was it's president. Once Dabo left the BSoA, Mr Wack became the president
for a number of years, starting in 1928. Apparently Mr. Wack became involved
with this organization through his teacher and friend Leon Da  ...  Displaying 750 of 2020 characters.
