Born 1902 in Portland Oregon, Helen Ladd lived in Seattle and
Sequim, Washington and San Clemente, California . She was an
active artist from 1940-1984 and was an active member of the Northwest
Watercolor Society and Woman Painters of Washington.
Her artwork was primarily water colors: floral, land and
seascapes, although she also used other mediums. Later in her
life she did mosaics with sea shells and rocks.
She originally studied with Paul Immel is Seattle. Her work was
exhibited in numerous shows and galleries including the Seattle Art
Museum, Frye Museum, and Frederick and Nelsons, to mention a few.
Helen Ladd died in 1987 in Sequim, Washington
