Edward V. (Edwin) Sharp was active/lived in Georgia.  Edward Sharp is known for portrait painting, military artist.

Likely the same person as Edwin Sharp of Georgia who did a drawing of the Macon Volunteers that appeared in the U.S. Military Magazine of 1842 and had his view of Stone Mountain lithographed, Edward Sharpe became a portrait painter in Savannah.
