Berthold Nebel


American sculptor (1889 Basel / Switzerland to 1964 USA), emigrated with one year to the US, worked in a terracotta factory in Perth Amboy / New Jersey, studied at the National Academy of Design, the Mechanics Institute, James Earle Fraser's attended class in the Art Students League of New York and studied for three years at the American Academy in Rome, won numerous awards, including the Rome - prize 1914, presented at the annual exhibition of the Architectural League of New York in 1915 and at other exhibitions in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Baltimore, Maryland and New York.
