alva Glidden's paintingsNancy Olesen
Alva lived with my great Aunt Lilian Holmes, for many, many years. They owned a home on Adams Street in Milton until they moved to a smaller home, and eventually to a retirement home for "ladies". She was not related to me but so close that she was referred to a our "great aunt" also. I have many of her paintings, and also had until recently, her box of oil paint. I still have the box but have passed on the paint.Would love to know the value (besides sentimental) of her paintings.

My late mother received a I believe an original oil painting from Alva Glidden. It is signed in the lower left hand corner. It is a painting of 2 deer by a river in winter. It had to have been painted in the late 50's or 60's.I am trying find out if it is a rare painting with original frame. Can anyone help

An oil painting was donated to our non-for-profit sailing school. It is signed in the lower right corner and is a seascape - waves crashing on a brown cliff with inlet in foreground. Seagulls in air and a chick on the cliff face. Donor knows nothing about the painting. It would be most helpful to know more about Alva Glidden and the approximate value of the painting.
