Anne Greene in Tryon N.C.Michael McCue
She was an author of travel books in the 1920s and '30s, possibly the most noted about spending a winter on a Vermont horse farm. She later wintered at the art community of Tryon, North Carolina, noted for its equestrian activity. One of her paintings is in the collection of the Springfield (Mass.) Museum of Fine Art. Would welcome more information about her life & work for a spring 2001 show in Tryon: "Tryon Artists 1892-1942: The First Fifty Years."
