Anne Goldthwaite
Michael Prettyman (08/23/2004)
I am the great great nephew of Virginia Greer Yardley (1878-1971),a modernist artist from Delaware who until recently has been largely forgotten. I am certain that my great aunt knew your great aunt through their common interests and activities in art, both in Paris where my aunt lived and painted for 30 years and New York City, where she studied at the Art Students League. I also know they had common friends like Ethel Penniwell Brown Leach, also an artist from Delaware. I am currently researching my great aunt's life and wonder if you have come across any references to her?

Painting: Young American
Mariea Dennison, Ph.D. (08/15/2001)
I would like to locate a Goldthwaite portrait of a boy which was exhibited in 1915 as YOUNG AMERICA or YOUNG AMERICAN. I have a published image of the oil.
