Oil paintingFrank Heinrich
I have an original oil painting of a mountain stream done by A Fischer. My grandfather lived in the Catskill Mtns in NY and watched him paint this on a bridge overlooking the stream. He gave the painting to my grandfather in appreciation. My grandfather was also a painter. Our family grew up in the Woodstock NY area.

Anton Fischer oilFrank
My Grandfather acquired an oil paintng ot a stream in the Catskill mountains. We all grew up on the Woodstock NY area, We are of German descent. My grandfather was also an artist and said he was friends with Anton Fischer and that he gave the painting to him probably sometime in the 50's 60's. Any Idea if he painted this type of scenery?

I just found a Sea Scape painting by Anton and signed at the bottom 1929 (16X18). I believe it to be watercolor - in excellent condition. It was in my grandfather's stuff in a tube - he got it when he crossed the equater in the navy. Where would i go to find info about it???
A Lifeboat in a Stormy SeaNancy Newland
I have a framed and signed oil painting by Anton Otto Fischer. It is in excellent condition. It is approximately 38" x 25". It shows at least 18 people, including women and children, in a lifeboat on a stormy sea. The lifeboat has eight oars extended and snow is heavily falling. Only the sea, sky, lifeboat, and occupants are in the painting. It is a very dark and forlorn painting - it looks to be a hopeless situation. Since I was a child, I have wondered and worried about the people on the boat! I understand that this painting was given to my grandfather by Mr. Fischer at the time of WWI when my graddad was a chaplain for soldiers. Any feedback on this piece would be appreciated.
I have a signed peice of either pen and pencil or oil 7X9 by Anton Otto Fischer. I looked up his work and found one just like it in print. The print was called Race to the Market. Mine is titled in the bottom left The Race. Difference in titles but same picture. The signature is in the right bottom corner. It is done on a thick paper. Can someone help me with what it is I might have.
