Inspiration for your paintings
Joann spencer (06/05/2014)
I love your work! For the longest time, I thought they were done by RC Gorman. Did you draw any inspiration from him or him from you? Love both! I am a water artist & have just started a small class & am using your work to inspire them to paint loosely & the use of color! I am not a professional but have been painting for about 10 years & love it. I normally paint tight but have been wanting to loosen up. You do inspire me. Thank you for that!

4 painting set
Frank Mason (07/18/2013)
original watercolor, 4 pictures fraimed (30 x 20); 1st is two women riders wearing blue cloaks, other 3 are riderless horses; last two bear signature(split) "Carol Griggs Painted" (on #3), and "Ponies 1985" (on #4). Some of the horses are split and continue in next frame. Were these painted on one canvas and divided when framed, or done separately as a set? Any input appreciated.

I have been unable to locate any additional prints either.

Jody Strand (07/09/2011)
I recently bought a watercolor picture of an indian leading a horse with another indian riding that horse. It is done in shaces of orange, rust, tan. They are facing to the left. It is very large, maybe 30" by 36" or so. I cannot see that it is signed anywhere but it looks just like all the other Grigg paintings of horses and indians. Can anyone tell me anything about it and if it is in fact a Carol Grigg? Thank you.

Carol Grigg "White Heron Dream"
Tony (11/12/2009)

Jacqueline Poll (10/17/2009)
I fell in love with a water color signed Carol Grigg Gango gallery Portland Oregon, yesterday in an Estate Sale (in mIchigan West Bloomfield Hills). On the right side of the water color one can read : copyright Carol Grigg "she walks with horses" published and distributed by Gango Editions 205 S.W.First Portland Oregon 97204 USA tel 503 2293088. The painting is framed and it looks like it's on water colors paper??? Of course I'd like to know the value but I certainly like to know more about the artist! Thank you very much for answering! Carol Grigg
Steve (07/03/2009)
I own an original work done by Carol Grigg in 1985. Titled: Kimono Their are two pieces of artwork that make up the entire presentation. They hang vertically and are both 31"L X 22"H. I would say that the art work is depicting an Asian Kimono. You would call it a Diptique. The presentation is a collage framed with black mats.

Carol (01/25/2009)
Can anyone tell me about these two pieces? Would they put a Litho on this type of paper? It's a heavily textured paper with a rough edge, like the edge was torn all they way around. It takes both pictures to complete the scene of the 2 Herons, and the size of each is 21X28. Signed by Carol Grigg in what looks like water color. I love them even if they are Lithos.

Carol Grigg print
Char (04/22/2008)
My students gave me a lovely Carol Grigg print as a gift and I am trying to find the name of the print--it came to me custom framed so the name may be covered. It is a picture of a man and a woman on horseback; the woman is a bit more in the foreground. They are both facing left. The woman wears a headscarf and a robe in burgundy/mauve tones. The man has loose hair and a "plains style" shirt in very light tan with green shading. The only copy of this I have seen on the internet is an ebay listing -- they call it "Man and Squaw". Does anyone know if this is the correct name? If not, do you know the correct name? I appreciate any help. Thanks!!!

I have a large matted print, Carol Grigg/Gango Gallery that I have not been able to find anywhere on line. It belonged to my mother so it could be from the 1970's and out of print. It depticts two adult riders, one on a spotted horse who has a child riding behind him. the other horse is painted, has an adult with a child sitting in front of her. This horse is dragging a travois. The print is matted and framed so I cant see if there is a title under the mat. Does anyone know its title or how much it is worth?

Carol Grigg
galokie (03/22/2005)
In 1997 I went into a used furniture store in Ada Oklahoma and noticed a painting on the wall - the painting was beautiful in blues, browns and reds... of two native americans. There appeared to be a "picture inside the picture" of baffalo on the plains. I didn't know anything about the artist...but the painting touched me and spoke to me as another native american. Only recently did I think about searching the artist's name on the internet. I was thrilled to discover I have a large framed painting by Carol Grigg. I cannot find it printed/copied on any web sites. I believe it is an early work. The painting is signed by Carol Grigg on the bottom left and says "Edition Gallery Portland Oregon" on the bottom right. I don't know what it is titled. I always see something new when I look at it...She has a way of painting into the viewers soul (does that make sense??).
