Cagle's vanishing art
Conrad Stinnett (09/09/2011)
I understood that his brother, Stokes, had made an effort to track down the missing art, but to no avail. I have an aunt who still lives in Nashville, but she’s not heard anything further about this.

Cagle's vanishing art.
Ada Almering (05/19/2011)
When I knew Cagle at the end of his life, he had been living in a cottage on Lealand Lane. Many of his paintings disappeared from that cottage. He had given the VA Hospital in Nashville a wonderful painting. When I asked about the whereabouts of the painting, I was told that it had disappeared from the hospital. How sad!

Charles Cagle
W. Anthony Terrell (05/21/2003)
I recently inheired two paintings by Cagle one entitled Pearly and the other Lady in Pink. They were purchased by Henry Madison Kendall and are of his wife Margaret Copeland Kendall. Dated 1954. Any information about these paintings would be appreciated. I believe they were painted in Shaftsbury, Vermont as the Kendalls had a summer home there for many years.
