Question on a painting
John Whipple (06/08/2009)
I have a painting signed by CHAS C CURRAN, it is of a young blonde girl in a stripped dress. She is sitting under a tree, and she is holding a yellow baby chicken. There are other chicks on the ground around her, which are feeding off a plate. My question is What is the title, when was it painted. It seems to be in a signed wooden frame.

For those who are searching for other relatives and/or paintings by CCC, I would love to join the circle. CCC was a cousin of my grandfather, my mother's maiden name was Curran, and we have several paintings in the family still. I'd love to hear more about his biography or any other paintings that may be out there. Thanks

Charles C Curran - CCC
Lori Liang Massey (08/12/2003)
Charles C Curran was my great-grandfather. His daughter, Emily Curran Liang, was my grandmother. She was a subject of many of his paintings, as well as his neice. I am looking for the where abouts of any of his paintins or any information on him. I grew up looking at one of his paintings which only had clouds. I think it was titled "Circus" or "Circus of Animals". My parents lived in his house at Cragsmoore when I was born. I feel like I have a special tie to his roots, and am looking for any help.

Thomas V. Weisenberger (11/04/2002)
Charles Curran married the sister of the man who built the house that we currently live in. Sometime after 1892 (year the house was built) he painted a scene looking down the street with our house in the painting. I'm looking for this painting or print. We live in Norwalk, Ohio. Charles supposedly grew up in this area.

donna walker (09/17/2002)
I have a painting of an elderly woman by Curran dated 1906. She is dressed in wedding ring. How could I begin to research who this is? A suffragette?
