Palli Holubar/ Morgan mosaics
Kenneth Stokes (11/03/2013)
I know about the mosaics as I own one. My mother helped him work on some of them. He did a portrait of Roosevelt for a theater in Chicago.

Palli Holubar You may want to contact Jay Hamilton in Madison Wisconsin. She looked at a rendering of ours years ago. It was done by Charles Morgan and she mentioned that he had a connection with FLW. She has written a number of articles and books on FLW and may be able to help you.

lino tile made by Morgan
Palli Davis Holubar (03/10/2010)
I am seeking information about Charles L. Morgan’s association with FLW. There is a small (approx. 25 X 26") linoleum tile mosaic by morgan in the FLW Foundation Archives. It is dated 1929 and is a rendition of a graphic design Wright drew for the September cover of Liberty magazine c. 1927-8. The tile and the colored drawing are shown on pages 96 and 97 of Penny Fowler’s book: Frank Lloyd Wright Graphic Designer/. The drawing is inscribed "Abstraction: Desert". Thanks.

Charles Morgan Sketch
James Lind (03/01/2010)
I have a sketch of Evanston Golf Club dated 1917 and believe the artist is Charles Morgan. The club wasn't built til 1921. Any thoughts?

Death of Charles L. Morgan
Kenneth Stokes (12/16/2009)
He was my mother's first cousin and was very close to him and his sister. He designed our house and that of his sister in Stuart. I have a number of pieces of his work, including a mosaic. I was told he drowned at the beach at Sarasota Fla., not Port Richie. His Family wintered there.
