H. Halbach
Tom Hodges (04/27/2011)
I purchased a painting of a beautiful dark haired girl in a pink dress in the 1960. A certificate came with the painting saying the artist was born at Edling Germany in 1912. He studied at the Munich Academy of Fine ARts with Prof. Bromann an Grobner. Would love to know more. I love the painting. The girl is beautiful and the painting beautifully done. I think of her as Gypsy.

My grandmother purchased and oil painting of a dark haired girl with flowers sometime in the 50's. There is a metal plate on the frame that has the name H. Halbach. I'd like to find out more about this artist. The painting is in prime condition.

I have inheirited a nude dark haired, dusky female nude. It's signed Halbach in the top right hand corner. I'm trying to research it's origin. I know that it comes from the States and probably the SW as my Step-Dad and wife did a lot of travelling in that area. I am wondering if it is a David Halbach? I would appreciate any information. Thanks.

Halbach's early work
Nancy (11/10/2007)
I have a nude of a dark haired woman lying down. The signature only says Halbach. I have been unable to find anything on the internet about this painting. If anyone knows anything about this painting, please let me know. We have inherited this from a relative and only know that he had this for at least 25 years. Thanks

I own a watercolor entitled "Ratliff's Barn", signed David Halbach, 1978. The backing has a handwritten, personal note to Pat from Dave. I'm interested to knowing if this is authentic and any other Information pertaining to the work.

David Halbach
Mary Lou Sipherd (02/27/2001)
My late husband Merrill Sipherd met Dave Halbach in Orange, Ca. about 30 some odd year ago at a frame shop. Dave was not painting westerns at that time. My husband felt he had great talent and ask him if he could do westerns. My husband was chairman of the Death Valley 49ers Annual Art show at the time. He invited Dave to come the the art show(with some western paintings)and I know this was the beginning of David Halbach's successful western art career.
