Drawing from 1929 "Fish House"Wilbur C. Springer
I am doing research on a 1929 David Burliuk drawing, 9" x 11.5". It shows the image of a fish store with sign "Fish House / Fresh Cought Fish / Bought and SOLD". Where is this location? Where was Burliuk living in 1929? Thank you.
verification of a David Burliuk watercolor of Fernie B.C. lakeshoreBill T
I am writing to find out if David B did a watercolor of a shoreline in Fernie B.C. and if so where can I verify this painting
Thanks to all who reply
I have what I presumed was a David Burliuk original (watercolor, I think). It has in the lower left corner "Funchal Madeira" and is signed in the lower right corner with his name and "1969." However, I know that he died in 1967. Is this a fake? The style of of this painting certainly resembles the style in many of his other paintings, so I am really confused. Any help or opinions on this would certainly be appreciated.

In 1893-95 Davy studied at the Sumy Alexander's Classical gymnasium. Now we have the D.Burliuk Memorial Museum in it founded 2007. There is a memorial plaque to the outstanding artist on the wall of the building of the gymnasium opened also in 2007.
