has anyone ever seen any sketches done ,from when he was in the pennsylvania acamdemy. i have a sketch,watercolor and charcoal mix of a native american,tossing rocks with in a circle of rocks.there are people outside the circle and there is a sun.the people are sketched in ,as sitck figures,but are very close to the painted ones in some of his paintings .it was done ,around that time and is monogramed er in lower left hand coner

"THE VILLAGE OF CARVERSVILLE," a large oil by Redfield, sold yesterday at Freemans Auction in Philadelphia and appears to have established a new record for the artist's work. The hammer fell at $470,000, with proceeds of the sale set to benefit the American Red Cross !
