I came by this artwork while working on a documentary of a deceased artist. In the collection of pieces, there are a number of original works of other artists. AMERO is one.
I have both photographed and scanned the original. The photo's are not such good quality but should work as a start, the scans are in 2 parts that I put together in photoshop as the original is to big for the scanner.
If you have some time please review the site and send me your thoughts. After review of his work on line it seems like a possibility that it could be an original.. I also have a substantial collection of Original Olga Fisch drawings I am archiving.
Emilio Amero Paintingdella creelman
I have a large oil painting by E. Amero that I am looking for information on. It is of a ox cart, men and woman carrying jugs. It looks like a early work of Ixianhuana village. If someone whould like to include it in a datebase I will send photos. I would also like to know more about the painting. della 6/26/06
Emilio Amero - organizing his workSara Brooks
I currently am working on an archive of Amero's photographic work at the University of Oklahoma. I am looking for all kinds of information about him- personal, artistic, as a professional. In addition to the work we have of his, I am attempting to compile a datebase of his work and where it is held now, albeit musuems, galleries, or personal collections.
Emilio Amero - a friendJ. Kinder Hollis
I first became aquainted with Emilio Amero in 1964 at the University of Oklahoma. I studied drawing that was taught by him and knew him for many years untill his death. Of all the teachers I've had, from my first years as an undergraduate student through graduate school, Emilio Amero was my favorite art teacher. Emilio was somewhat of a rebel and most often stood on the side of the student rather than with the university staff that he was a part of. I never knew of any serious art student who did not like Amero. I often think of him when I draw for drawing is one of the needed tools in the stonecarving that I do. - J. Kinder Hollis
