2 original Howard Gaze paintings
Shauna Steiner Torok (01/22/2011)
Harold gaze was a dear friend of my grandmother. They were neighbors in Pasadena area of Los Angeles. He painted two pictures for my mother that I have. One was given to my grandmother Jean when my mom Sandra Brooke Winslow was born in 1934 and the other was a wedding gift to my mom in 1958. I even have the letter Harold wrote when he presented the gift. They hang in my bedroom now and are precious to me. II thought someone should know I have these if ever there were to be an exhibit. Thank you...if you would like to see them I will send a photo. Sincerely, Shauna Steiner Torok

Harold Gaze
liz (06/15/2008)
At the age of six, I was given Harold Gaze's book, The Merry Piper. That book taught me to read - I was utterly enchanted by it - still am, and I am now almost 62. Harold Gaze's storytelling took me into another world; a world of fairies and fantasy - and his magical illustrations are a feast for the eyes. I'm just amazed that no one has made a film out of it!
