Meeting Irwin HasenTom Ducic
My wife and I met Irwin Hasen for the only time at a 1959 charity event in NYC. He had drawn some sketch portraits (including my recent wife) and was preparing to leave. Realizing we were together he graciously stopped and offered to sketch me, an offer I eagerly accepted. We were very impressed with his thoughtfulness and often think of that evening as the framed sketches look down at us from their prominent place on our living room wall. He made a young couple very happy and we will always have a great opinion of him.
