Hagaman '85John Conlin
I have a work, watercolor, signed Hagaman '85 of a maid daydreaming at a window in a richly textured interior. I believe the woman to be a sister of my grandmother, who in 1885 was employed as a housekeeper by an artist in NYC. Her name was Maggie Marion and she was from the Rochester, NY area.

I believe I may have a painting by the artist, entitled "The Releigh Tavern" Is their anyway to compare the signature?

I have a family portrait of John Heydler, President of the National Baseball League, which is an oil by James Hagaman, painted in Paris in 1890. I am dying to talk to Charles Carroll or someone about him and the painting. Helen Shipley. My father was John Heydler's nephew. My email address is Hshipley2@comcast.net
I own a painting by Hagaman and always thought the first initial was an I; now, I believe the first initial may be a J which appears more as a straight line. Can anyone confirm signature?
