John ConstableCindy Snow
The painting I have is of a water mill, and in front of the house are headstones. It is possible that it may be the Haywain before 1823.
I live in Sweden, and I am in posession of what I think is an oilpainting on paper by John Constable.
Where can I get this painting examend ?

full titile of constable painting?simon alexander
i am trying to find the full title of a John Constable painting I recently saw in the Tate Britain. The last part of the title was ".... and the trunk of a fallen tree." It was a very dark painting of a tree trunk lying across a stream in a forest. Can anyone help me, please, and are there any pictures of it online? Thanks.
oil pastel attributed to john constablecory heidenberger
I own an oil pastel attributed to John Constable. It is a portrait of his daughter Emily or Emma on her wedding day. I purchased the portrait from a UK dealer. I have a receipt of sale from 1947 from Charles A. Jackson, art dealer, 12, St. Ann's Square, Manchester, England. The buyer is a Miss Fletcher, who paid 45 pounds British sterling for this work from the estate of John Thomas Smith, a contemporary, friend and Keeper of Prints for the Royal British Museum.
I have taken the work out of the frame and can find no signiture. There is more than a close resemblance to Maria Bicknel Constable and John Constable himself. He and the lady in the portrait share the same nose. The empire dress and obvious age of the canvas mark the work from the 1820's-1830's.
The landscape in the upper-left corner of the piece speak of Constable's touch, quick and atmospheric. I am convinced this is an authentic piece...any help will be appreciated.
