The following is from the "New York Times:" NEW YORK.- There will be a tribute to sculptor John Rhoden, who died on January 4 at the age of 84. The tribute will takeplace on February 22. Deborah Bershad, executive director of the New York City Art Commission, stated that Rhoden, "gave so much to the art community as a sculptor, a teacher and a mentor. He was a much beloved member of the art commission for eight years. He will be greatly missed." The Rev. C. Herbert Oliver, a Department of Veterans Affairs chaplain and former pastor of Westminister-Bethany United Presbyterian Church in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is organizing this tribute to Rhoden. The program begins at 10:30 a.m., Feb. 22, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 423 E. 23rd St., Manhattan.
