Braun oil paintingKay Irey
I have a portrait of a cowboy that we bought in 1971 in Scottsdale Arizona by Jorge Andres Braun...on the front it is just signed Braun on the lower right corner. I wondered what the name and if it is an original.
Tarallo Oil PaintingReBecca Bogle
I have an oil of a clown done in bright teals/turquoise/yellow signed in right corner in large letters TARALLO. Does anyone know of this artist? It was bought in California in the 60's.
George Washington Leading Troops in Snow StormMatthew Lutz
My folks have a Tarallo painted some fourty years ago. It was purchased from Jorge and his brother at an expo in Denver CO. What is unique about the painting it is of a revolutionary seen of George Washington in a snow storm. Any information would be appriciated.
regarding artist Jorge TaralloAlejandra Tarallo
Dear Mary Lou,
I am Jorge Tarallo's daughter. My father passed away this past Thursday after a long illness. As I was looking for old pictures of him online I found this board. I just wanted to tell you my father was one of Uruguay's best artists. This you can probably tell by looking at his artwork. I'm in no position to say how much they are worth, (to me his work is priceless) but as is quite typical in the art world, values go up after an artist's passing so I thought I would tell you. Best regards and good luck.

I also have a painting by Tarallo, signed in the lower right hand corner. I purchased it about 15 years ago at an estate sale in Washington state. It is a 24 x 36 canvas of some dock workers with sailing ships at the wharf. My impression was that it could be by the same Tarallo on the LAPD stolen list a few years back, however as I recall that painting was a city street scene, but had similar reflections in the wet pavement. Definitely not by Jorge Tarallo Braun. I would appreciate any feedback.
I have two paintings signed "Tarallo" that I bought at the Cory Gallery in downtown San Francisco in the late 1960s or early 1970s. They seem to be European street scenes--one reminds me of Paris, and the other seems more Portuguese. I, too, have seen the LAPD stolen painting online, and it's definitely the same artist. Unfortunately, the Cory Gallery no longer exists, so I can't trace the artist through them.
Barbershop signed Tarallo oil paintingMicheline
I have an oil that is signed Tarallo in lower left corner, and it is of a barber shop; the barber, his client in the chair, and the lighting looks like some of the other oils I have seen by Tarallo. I believe it was painted in the 1970s. I'd like any feedback available. Thanks,

I have a painting of a clown, with blue/white costume. Is this a paiting by another artist named Tarallo, or perhaps Taballo. I know who Jorge Tarallo is and his paitings seem very serious. lots of Indians. Did he ever paint clowns? Please enlighten me? Thank you, MM
Braun PaintingsBen Myers
I have 7 Braun Oils that are Indian Head Portraits. They are all signed BRAUN. I would like to find the names of the paintings and when they were painted. The lady I got them from has had them for more than 30 years. Also, the value of them would be helpfull.

I have recently received 2 paintings signed "Tarallo", not Braun and do not seem similar to the ones that I have seen. They are of clowns. Is there another Tarallo? These may have been purchased in Scottsdale, AZ.

TARALLO ARTMARAIN BENNETT
AS OF 6/2007 I have yet to find out anything about the painting I have by Tarallo.
This is so similar to the one stolen and I am getting other emails that people have one too like the one that was stolen. I have not been able to find out anything about the artist. I do know it is not anything close to the Jorge Tarallo paintings.
TARALLO ARTMARIAN BENNETT
I have a Tarallo oil painting that does not appear to be the tarallo that paints American scenes. This painting is almost identical to a stolen art I have been able to pull up on the web of stolen art by tarallo and found it is posted by official website of THE LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT. After typing in "tarallo" I saw the stolen art by doing a search on the LAPD web site and typing in tarallo on the "search" section. The painting I have is very similar to the one I have. My paining looks like it was just painted from a different angle. It looks like a misty scene with a horse and buggy and men walking in it. This is the stolen art on the LA police web site but it won't let me post the picture of it on this comment. I can email the photo I have as well as the one the LAPD has as stolem. The scenes are so similar I almost fainted amd thought I had the painting that was stolen until I got up to compare it to my painting.
On the LAPD web site this is the information that was pulled up and it does show the painting close to the one I have but they are different.
If anyone knows anything about this tarallo please email me.
I have what I think is an early Tarallo oil painting. It is a group of men playing pool in a smoky pool room. However, this may NOT be the same Tarallo who paints native American scenes. I do know this Tarallo is from South America, but beyond that I am not sure.
Any information would be appreciated.
