would like to know about his work and the etching called La petite Epicerie
daselborne etching from 1936doran
I have an original Lucien Dasselborne ink and watercolor etching titled "The Old Mill" from the Sydney Lucas collection. It is 20 x 24 and has the
ubiquitous triangular SZL mark at lower left and the "copyright 1936 by Camilla Lucas-NY-USA" at top right. The work is in excellent condition, but it is in its original frame and matting and these are in very poor condition and very ugly. If I have it re-matted and re-framed will that reduce the value of it?
And does it have a very high value in the first place? My research puts this value at below $200 typicaly for the SZL imports, but I'm no expert on Dasselborne. Can anyone advise me please?

I have a print entitled The Bourg by Lucien Dasselborne. On Aug 18th I'm taking it to the Antiques Roadshow for appraisal. Stay tuned! I'll post an update for your information. Let's hope it's worth thousands!
Lucien Dasselborne 1873-1952 (some sites say 1873 to 1962) One piece of his art I saw on EBAY said he also signed work as "Davril". Born in France, had his art in Salon de Artists and another famous venue, Salon de something.
I know that he uses a process called aquatint for many of his lithographs. I have seen his name also associated with another artist AJ Van Neste.
Check around some more on the internet for prices of comparable pieces.
