Maud T Fangel original chalk, baby sleeping
Leslie Wilson (10/29/2007)
In about 1946 Maud did a chalk portrait of my baby sister and wrote 'to Olive and Bruce' and signed it. My parents were visiting my aunt in New York who was a friend of Maud. I have the picture and would like to know if having it so personalised enhances or depreciates the value? There is not much colour - gray & pink. About 15"x 10".

Copyright
Judi Ward (03/25/2007)
I am still searching for the copyright for the Maude Tausey Fangle baby doll called Sweets. It was originally made by Georgene Averill company. I have searched the copyright office and patent office files until I am blue in the face. Does anyone know if the copyright for the baby were ever done, or extended after 1978. I don't want to manufacture the doll, but want to provide a pattern for home dollmakers who like to make Vintage style cloth dolls. I have done the prototype and pattern for myself.
