Easel gifted from W.Merrit Chase to W. Pach to my Mother
Julian Zukmann (09/17/2009)
I am writing to you on behalf of my mother Marion Zukmmann; to whom Walter Pach left William Merrit Chase's easel, via Nikifora: this, because of his great admiration for what he thought her gifts as a young artist. My mother-having lost contact with Nikifora is most eager to establish its provenance. Might you possibly suggest any means by which to do so? I would very much appreciate any help you might be able to provide. And equally delighted to put you directly in touch with my mother, if you would be good enough to speak with her on the matter. Respectfully yours, Julian Zukmann 15 West 11th Street New York, N.Y 10011-8607
