Agam: can someone help me identify a piece?Paul Rabwin (07/16/2009)
I have a small plastic sculpture by Agam that I cannot identify. It consists of four 7" X 7" clear plastic squares; the first has a large purple rainbow, the second a slightly smaller blue rainbow, the third a slightly smaller green rainbow, and the fourth, a slightly smaller yellow rainbow. There is a fifth 7" X 7" square, which is a mirror. Agam has signed his name with each letter of "AGAM" written in a different color (Blue, green, yellow, and red.)
On the back of the mirror, it is numbered 42/99. The five squares mount in a small, solid plastic block 7" X4" 2" with five slots for the plates to be inserted.
The purple rainbow and the yellow rainbow are the same color on both sides. However the blue raibow is red on the opposite side, and the green rainbow is orange on the opposite side
If anyone recognises this, please contact me.
I would be most appreciative.

I am trying to learn more about Agam's original pieces. Is there a name for the 3-dimentional works that have different pictures from different sides? They look as if they've been painted on folded paper. Thanks for any help.
