Adele Alsop lives in Moab, Utah and paints mostly landscapes with a deftness that borders on facility. Her paintings leave the viewer with the feeling that she knew how to paint each painting before she started. Her brushstrokes are impressive as she is able to make a single stroke declarative of texture, color and dimension. Her paintings end up being more decorative than visceral experiences.
Over the years her technique has distilled itself into calligraphy of thick, liq (showing 500 of 952 characters). |
