| | Born in Shelby County, OH on June 3, 1895. Apple studied art in Cleveland. After serving in WWI, he settled in Los Angeles and was a label artist for Western Lithograph until retiring in the 1950s. He then was gallery director at the Glendale Public Library. In his leisure he etched and painted in oil and watercolor, the latter of which he studied with Arthur Beaumont. Apple died in Thousand Oaks, CA on Oct. 17, 1981.
